Okay, first off: I have totally neglected most of my friends on the site lately comments/journal wise --- sorry guys. Blame it on this thread, or the rain, take your pick, but I'm officially gone for good and am now going to turn my efforts to using the next 5 days to try and not fail school.
It's for the best...
And for curious parties I finally clocked out after 65 hours of no sleep (oipthestampede, you still have me beat). Although I did remember I think this wasn't the longest I've stayed up after all -- Justin and I stayed up for somewhere around 4 days straight once, but we were on a massive bender so that's different. That was also when I ended up with my three prison tattoos.
Still livin large in the group though.
I feel like I had other things to say, at some point.
My pet peeves include: people who don't take off their shoes before sitting on your bed, eczema, player haters.
Oh! I remembered.
I got a call from a Seattle radio station today (I forget which one, I'll post tomorrow) asking me to do a phone interview on the air with them Saturday morning regarding my school's long-standing tradition of students doing stuff bare-ass naked (most popular example: nude frisbee on commons lawn) which is currently being challenged by the new administration.
So yeah...if you live round those parts you should listen to me talk.

i don't want you to think that what you are doing is insignificant. any change in policy that affects the student body is worth fighting against, no matter how small the fraction of affected students is...you should be very proud of what you are doing...
my point was really that so many changes have come to pass in terms of the administration at benningtion that it is no longer standing by the standards it held a merely few years ago. the policies that bennington once stood by have dissapeared a long time ago. the tragedy is that students are only there for four years and there is only so much they can do to counteract these changes. eventually the idea of "old bennington' gets passed by word of mouth, which is very dangerous. (see lostarchitect's posts). or take for example, the words of Rich when i visited bennigton over alumni weekend, "the school is full of kids who saw the movie 'the rules of attraction' and thats what they came here for".
the school that you go to bears very little resemblence to mine in terms of the freedoms that you are allowed, and mine was strict compared to the bennington of the 80's...
i don't think that we fought for better things, i just think that slowly and over time the administration has put alot of ideas into action that you as a student body don't understand how to challenge. how could you? they came to pass before you even enrolled...but nonetheless you are subject to them and you can't fight them because as far as you know they have always existed...
all that i can say is keep fighting.
