I actually graduated. WOW. I'll try to post some pictures but I didn't wear a gown, so they're probably kinda disappointing. Then again, I was sweaty to the extreme, so that kind of makes up for it. Ugh, I'm really too tired and out of it (from being sick) to be attempting my first post since April. I feel like when I post this rarely every one should be a gem. A blog for the ages, if you will. Ugh. Ummm so at present I am working full-time to try to organize my life and move everything out of my childhood home before my dad moves to California in September. Unfortunately it's not a paid position. But if half the graduating universe can get away with backpacking around Europe, I should be allowed to spend a month or two unemployed. Right? Right. Oh I'm also working part-time at trying to convince my dad to give me his car. So there's that.
My snake (4ish year old ball python) is getting big and fat and spectacularly gorgeous. He's a bit over three feet now, I bought him a brand spanking new 38 gallon reptarium and he is super excited. Actually he's probably mad that it'll be almost impossible for him to escape now (knock on wood), but at least he has bark chips instead of newspaper now. And I got a lion rabbit at the SPCA today!! Which probably wasn't the best move since I already have one pet and I don't know what my plans are past the summer...but I have two really good families lined up who would very likely want to take care of her if I move somewhere (like Japan) where I can't bring him, so it's not that irresponsible. Anyways I get to take her home on Thursday and she's the fluffiest fluff that ever fluffed and looks something like this:
...but way fluffier. I see a lot of bunny-combing in my future, but I'm incredibly excited. I haven't had a small animal since I had to give my guinea pig away when I went to college, and I miss it. I can't decide if it's a pro or a con that this is probably going to greatly increase the chances that I stick around my hometown for a bit longer. Lately, as much as I've hated growing up here, the thought of not being here (while not in school) is scarier and scarier. I keep realizing things like "holy crap, I'd have to find a new dentist!"
On a lighter note, googling "lion rabbit" yields some very interesting results:
PS - The best thing about the new (ok, not so new anymore...) SG setup is that for a few minutes the top of my page said
