So i talked with the district manager Wednesday. About my follow up email and questions which she decided to answer for me on the spot in person. Totally ignored the first one which was what qualities she was looking for to fill the position but answered when the position needed to be filled. Sort of. She told me I'm going to put my application in online and the staffing director for the region was going to contact me to set up a more formal interview. But then ended the conversation saying it could be three weeks it could be three months, but either way it's good. Everything went really well. Those are nice words to hear and all, but I'd like to move on with my life sometime soon. Pretty much everyone I work with knows what's up now, which is in a way better. But I'm still smoking and drinking with half of them. So it's kind of awkward. It was good to hear one of my best friends say that she is most likely going to go into management at some point but just cannot handle the responsibility right now. To which I though, well, I'm not either I just got a DUI and am living with my parents. But that $10,000 that I could use so I'm fuckin going for it and not looking back. Put in my 3 years, network the whole way through and see if I can't use Red Lobster for the corporate whore of a restaurant she is. Just sayin...

You should use that corporate whore, that what whores are for. And while you might not feel like you are ready I am sure once you are given the pay bump and responsibility you will fit into that role just fine.

getting a dui and living with your parents doesn't equal a lack of responsibility. you'll be fine
