Melbourne certainly bought out the inner repressed consumer in me. (When in rome etc ) I came back with a car full of loot that i'm still sorting through...
- heaps of killer op shop finds, not for myself so much as for friends and resale.
- some gorgeous new sexy lingerie... quite a few items infact.
- new MAC mascara and lip gloss.
- red leather mary-janes and some tailored well cut black pants.
- a Bill Hicks autobiography which i am already well into, as well as the latest Juxtapoz, a few tattoo mags and a tattoo book.
- heaps of bargain basement cd's including elvis costello, the tremors (i love geoff corbett), the b52's, pj harvey and my favourite so far... Loretta Lynn's new album produced by Jack White, I listened to it for two thirds of the drive back from Melbs. Long live country music! and old country singers for that matter!
- heaps of rad shit from a huge sex shop warehouse i found called 'sexy land'.
Of course i bought all this knowing full well that it would be the last bit of consuming i'l be doing for quite some time due to new adventures as an impoverished student.
So now i have all this stuff and kinda wished i'd kept some of my money. oh well. the forces of capitalism conquered me this time, but i'll milk every item for maximum enjoyment.
anyone else succumbed to retail fever lately?
