hello everyone. after about 3 weeks the cable finally got hooked up. we didnt have phone, internet or tv. i saw the movie hoodwinked, x-men and x-men 2 about a thousand times during that period. those are my sons top movies right now.
our house is basically set up except for all those pictures that need to be hung up. the new furniture is pretty cool too. thursday was my younger daughters 8th birthday. today we are having a little party for her. i am going to get her a bike today. she didnt learn how to ride one until this year. she never really cared to learn before that. she is a real "girlie" girl so she was always playing with dolls, brushing her hair, being a cheerleader while me and my other daughter played catch. i guess i should say their names instead of older daughter, younger daughter and son. ok, allison is the oldest. she is 10. emily is 8. and my little boy, elijah, is 3. although he thinks hes older and wants to help me drive. so emily, my quiet, sweet little girl is now 8.
having finally done all this house stuff my truck decides "no mas". so today i go to the car dealership and look for a new one. my dad works for ford so i am entitled to their family discount which is realy good. so i pick out a truck today, get the price and go from there. im a little nervous because i will have a car payment but a new car will be better to drive the kids around in.
has anyone out there loved their job? and because of that you do your best everyday. then when you think you will be rewarded you feel like you just got set back because you do good work. well thats how i feel. after two weeks back on an iron job i was told im going back to finish the four schools that need to be wrapped up. my boss there is my friend. we went to school together so i enjoy working for him. i was told im going because they want it done right the first time and i speak up to my boss if i notice something isnt goin in right. apparently the other four ironworkers he had while i was at unlv just would say ok and do it without "reading it " to make sure it was right. so im back to doing finish work. oh well.
elijah has been sleeping in his new bed for a week now. i got him a talking grill. its a little barbeque grill that talks. it has little grill tools, little hamburger and hot dogs etc. if he began sleeping in his own bed. so far so good. he has slept with me for three years. thats enough. the reason for that is my fault. he used to sleep in his crib just fine. one day i saw the movie red dragon. that night i woke up thinking that someone could come in and take him from that crib and i would never know. the correlation between that and the movie i dont know. anyway, so i get up get him fron his crib and wrap my arms around him and go to sleep. that began a 3 year journey that hopefully has ended.
well, have a nice weekend.
