STRIKE DAY 24
Well, it is pretty much the same old shit. But I have been sick this week, so I have not been near the picket line.
The Media Moguls have stopped saying stupid shit in public, which I would guess has something to do with them looking like asshole every time they do. Someone must have told them to shut their pie holes.
There may be some interesting shit going down tonight for Carson Daly's first show back. I heard from one of the writers on the show that he has been warned to "stay away" because there will be some "very disruptive" things going on. Sounds kinda interesting. Carson Daly is a useless, talentless human being, so I am not really all that upset about his return. The writers I know from his show are a bit upset, however.
I just ate meatballs. That has nothing to do with the strike.
The studios are trying to hire a PR company to combat the plethora of enjoyable videos that are popping up on You Tube constantly. Good luck with that.
People are starting to drive by picket locations and throw stuff at strikers. Garbage, water balloons, etc. Quite a few people are losing their jobs now and blame the writers, not the studios. That's some fine logic.
Talks have started up again. But there seems to be little progress. Could just be part of the studio PR push. They were getting buried for walking away from the table, so now they came back and are just sitting there, not doing anything.
This will end in January at the earliest. But could easily go on for much longer.
The studios are not fairing all that well in the stock market. Since the day the strike started, here's what they've done.
CBS -4.5%
Disney -6.4%
Viacom -3.8%
News Corp -2.0%
Boo hoo.

The strike being over. I heard it before I went in the shower the other day.

Methinks "science" is its own rationale sometimes. More likely it was some NASA or Airforce assholes who wondered what it would be like to put a cat in zero gravity.
