Nothing like getting back out into the water. (Maybe a little too soon for some people) But being able to get back in my scuba gear is relaxing.
The ice on the lake was great this year, with a solid 30" of clear ice and another 8" cap of brackish ice (pretty much compressed snow/ice mix; not overly strong) the water level was down about 30-45' from what we see in the summer, so we could head down for longer and stay within safe dive limits. The only real thing bringing most of us out of the water isn't so much running low on air as it is getting cold, even with all our layers on.
The only complaint from the weekend was that one of my dry gloves became a wet glove, so a very cold hand on today's dives.
I start my Dive Master program tomorrow, so I can work my way to becoming a dive instructor and help get more interested people into the water to see/enjoy what I get to.
I hope everyone has a good week.
