It seems I've gotten myself involved in another thing to do, on top of that it's one of those pay-to-do things. Good thing it's worth it
For some reason I'd like to start my journal right away, but there's nothing I really feel like talking about that's going on right now.
Instead, I'll make something up about stupid school shit I never actually had to deal with:
I was riding my bike to school today, and while I was thinking about something the existence of the word "and" totally dropped from my mind. While probing my brain for what fills this newly created void I hit a lamppost and tumbled off my seat. I scraped my elbow, forehead, and a good part of my back (I'm not very good at falling). I walked the rest of the way. School was almost over anyway, I could afford to be late a few more times.
It was announced on the PA that Kathy Bates had won "Best Smile" award for the yearbook. Other people won awards too, but I didn't really hear them. She smiled at me once.
If I were to win an award, I wonder what it would be for.
Carlos and I fucked around a bit with Mr. Rippling of our AP English course. We dropped some acid in his coffee and he spaced out, mumbling to himself for the duration of the class. I don't know how but during one of his visions it struck that he's experienced this sensation many many times before. We drew bare breasts on the black board and then ditched.
Later that same period we were walking down the hall making an effort to whistle the Spongebob Squarepants theme when we spotted some Seniors who were also strolling down the hall towards us. One was blasting one of those boom box backpacks (that I'm surprised never really caught on) and Carlos started to openly worry that a security guard was going to find us out and bust us for being out of class. Before we could split one of them targeted us in his sights, and broke into a run. He threw punch only to fake out at the last second and release a fist full of quarters. All he had to say to explain his actions was "Last time we're gunna see you faggits! Asta la vista nexgen". Nexgen? How goofy. Seems like one of those things to say just to say it. Maybe he read it in a comic book or something. How long had that kid have those quarters in his hand anyway? After they left we bought some corn nuts and talked about current affairs.
During lunch I decided to eat by myself and surf the net at the school library. While some names were being rattled off on the PA for God knows what I started think about Senior year and what it was going to be like. Then thought about graduating Senior year and leaving High school forever, I wondered if that feeling would make me as generous as our previously mentioned philanthropist. I was then overwhelmed with the feeling of the end, not just graduating and leaving school, but the sensation I get from the 'ending' of something. For some reason I began to cry to myself. While I was doing so - I shit you not - Kathy Bates passed by me and gave me a smile. It was very casual, but it made me feel a lot better.
I wonder what sex is like.
In Senior year, I'm going to drive a car to school.
