Well hi there peoples. This was a good weekend, and let me apologize right now for the lack of pictures and bad spelling/grammar.
Friday: (a hockey game)
Friday: (a hockey game)
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
It started Friday night when my brother in law calls me and asks if I want to go to a Phantoms playoff game. I say yes of course because hey, playoff hockey!! Traffic to get there was a bit bad because of the Phillies (baseball) game and the circus was in town, but surely there would still be a lot of people at the hockey game right? I mean c'mon, it's the playoffs for goodness' sake! Well, I ws wrong, the game was dead. I just hope that the attention was drawn away by the circus and not the baseball game because there are 80-something home baseball games a year and, in my opinion, missing a playoff hockey game for baseball is just bullshit.
Anyways we're at the game and it's a good game, but we're not really paying attention too good, just kind of making our own fun being goofballs and talking about how the piss-poor turn out is a shame for the players. All-in-all it was fun and a good time was had, and the Phantoms won 3-0! Then, we figure, they all went to the circus to celebrate.

Saturday: (Philly tattoo convention)
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
This was a beautiful day, if a bit hot, and I'm glad for the people who traveled here. InnocentSid and Lusyd came to town for the tattoo (tit-too) convention and to meet people. We were to meet up at noon with sitar, a guest of his, and Cosmo. ( I did not forget you ladies, I just didnt' know you were coming at this point) So me, being the person I am, leave my house at 9:30. I went to the Wawa to get a drink, filled up my fuel at the gas station, and got to Philly at around 10:00.
After sitting in my car in the parking lot for an hour I decide that's enough. I start waling from18th & Vine (the lot) to 12th & Arch (Reading Terminal Market). Not a far walk but if I move slow it should kill some time. 15 minutes later I'm at the market. After wandering around the block and the city in general I kill enough time to see a bright red flash walking down the street. In walks InnocentSid and Lusyd, we say our hellos and greetings and they inform me that connielingus and LadyCakes will be joining us as well. After a time sitar strolls up with his ladyfan, followed by Cosmo, then connielingus, LadyCakes is coming in a bit.
So we all head into the market and start looking for what we want for lunch. Most of us had never been there before or at least not in a long time, not living actually in the city. After we scatter and find what we want, we meet back up and look for a place to sit, eat, and chat.. and that's exactly what happens. We sit, we eat, and we talk. There is much talk of the goings on of this site, DNA, strange medical oddities and comments on the nine-year old tramps running around. (there was some kind of cheerleader convention in town as well, it was like an invitation for pedophiles) After a time in walks LadyCakes and more talkings were had. A bit later we get a text from Shaggy (TheInfamousMrV), he's coming down to hang out too! After he gets down to the market we all start to head out to the convention.
It's a short walk to the Sheraton, with sitar acting as a guide to our fair city to the out of townies. Well, we all get there and pay our $15 to get in and start to stroll. We walk around the place about twice looking and watching. Shaggy got some work done and I was looking for my shop, which wasn't there. We end up sitting on this blue couch, just bullshitting and people watching, and sending silly pictures to . sweetloretta and BrightRedScream. After a while of this we all wind up saying our goodbyes, this was around 6:00pm A good day to say the least, even though I would have loved for there to be one more person there.
Later that night I decide I don't want to sit in, so I head over to my buddy's house to hang out. Nothing special, they got stoned and watched "The Big Lebowski" then played video games. Was fun, but I was missing someone hardcore still.

Sunday: (Bullshit family drama)
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
We get together for one last goodbye to gramma's house before we sell it. (By we I mean her children) We went there so her last living sibling (93 and going strong) could see the house one last time. Well, my uncle has been living there and apparently has been selling off gramma's stuff without us knowing. He's in the will taking 1/3 of the house but he's not an executor, I don't know the legal mumbo-jumbo that are his rights to the money.. but he's not contributing at all to the inheritance tax (The state of Pennsylvania is a bitch with this, so you have to pay the tax before you have the money, makes things extremely hard)
He says he doesn't have the money, which we believe because it seems he owes money all over the place to various "agencies", but none of us really do, and PA won't let us wait until the house is sold. Without getting into the details of "he said/did this" and "she said/did this" drama let's just say he's not the favorite person in the family right now, and after this house is sold we'd be shocked if we ever heard from him again. I don't think anyone is too upset about this. All in all though it was an okay day, minimal outbursts out of respect for gramma's sister, but man.. it was weird being in that house

If anyone read all that crap, thank you and I'm sorry. Here is a video:
Faeries Wear Boots(Jack the Stripper)
You were on my mind all weekend, this shouldn't be a surprise to you as I think about you all the time
Thanks again to anyone who could stomach all that mess

I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized I wasn't the only chain smoking carnivore in the house.
