What a day what a day, very eventfull.
I almost got seriously injured today, twice! It was very exciting. First was at work. While stocking a floor of the building I'm working in through a hole in the floor (the elevator doesn't go that high yet) the guys above us, like 3-4 floors above us decide they want to be less carefull than tthey should be. A four foot long 2x4 comes flying down this hole, barely missing my fucking head, the hard hat probably would have saved my life, but that would have been concussion #5 for sure. (That hole by the way is right next to the ladders we use to move above the elevators and staircases, could have been anybody)
Next came after work, while walking to my car through center city. Now, if you are walking with traffic and have to cross an intersection, and the green light is in the direction you are walking the pedestrian has the right of way. Apparently the person in the SUV talking on her cell-phone didn't learn this. I swear she came about five inches from clipping my leg, but whatever, they were only close calls I guess I just needed to vent them a little, sorry.
After that though! I took a nap, because we had a game tonight and I wanted to try out my new mask!
It felt good even though it was the same make and model as my other mask, but I'm sports superstitios like that. I believe luck can be found in jerseys, sticks, socks, etc. Well, after giving up two very weak goals early in the game, I was ready to throw the new mask out of the rink, but then, my team turned it on. Inspired by their great play taking the score to 3-2 us midway through the first and playing great defense, I decided to suck it up and shake off those two goals that I want back. Well, after all is said and done in a game where, let's just say my team's offense and puck control was so good tonight that I had time to re-strap my one pad that kept coming loose and fix up my toe bridges which, for some reason, keep going underneath my skate, we end up winning by the awesome score of 10-3. Not bad for a bunch of guys who have only played together for two games prior to tonight. Sad thing though, the new lucky mask broke apparently at some point during the game, so I'll have to get it fixed, no biggy though.

The Caps game? Nah, I was too busy being a bum. I heard Hextall had a surprise for the fans so I was all excited watching his speech.. but all he did was clank the pipes which was cool but expected. I was kinda hoping he would shoot the puck net to net or something. I love watching Ovechkin play though, he never dissappoints.
