Hello! I must have a sign on me that says "Please cut in front of me in line, it's ok". I don't know if it's just rude people or just me (I tend to leave space in between myself and countertops and other people in line) but this happened two times today and once again on Thursday.
Anyways, speaking of Thursday it was the second game of the season! The first game last week was a semi-embarrasing loss by the score of 10-5. This Thursday though was a somewhat respectable win of 6-4! Bringing "Team Shatner" to 1 and 1 to start the season, not horrible. It snowed that night and all the games were pushed back almost an hour, so we didnt' get on untill around 8:30 (scheduled for 7:30) Apparently though, when it snows in this town people freak the fuck out, because driving there was a nightmare. It's a 15 minute drive and it took almost 45 minutes to get there. When I get there, I didnt' know about the delay so I started suiting up. I was approached by three other teams who needed a goalie, I ended up playing for one of those teams and it happened to be the game right after my teams. Well, I can sit here and make excuses galore about the very embarrasing 11-4 loss, my skates kept binding up, I felt like I was going to pee my pants, I was tired as hell, but I'll go with the tired/no energy one. It was ugly, but the team understood (to my face at least) and it seemed that they just wanted to play, which is awesome. Too many people there think they are in the NHL, I still felt bad, but it's over now.
Oh well I guess I've rambled long enough.
Thanks for listening. -Bob
