I AM SUCH A HAPPY LITTLE BUNNY!
So on a whim I went home today. "Home", home, as in little town Ontario home that I never ever venture back to. (My roommate who is also from there went back for the day so I hopped in to see my grandparents who I haven't seen in at least two years if not more.)
Anyways saw the "Nan", she's doing alright...she's the only grandma I know who is popular and gets more phone calls and dates than I do. Haha. She means the world to me honestly I have no idea what my life would be without her.
Had dinner with the mum, was interesting but went ok for the most part. We're friends right now which is a good thing. I don't push it, but it's nice. I'm glad that we're finally at a place where I'm able to call her and she me. She actually hugged me today which was a big step for us. She hasn't done that in....well, more years than I can count.
I also saw my granddad, he's hilarious. He never changes. He JUST turned 70 last week, still drives his motorcycle, still rebuilds old cars. He's drinking scotch in the middle of the day now haha, still sips his tequila in the evening. He just got back from Mexico so he was telling me all about it. Then we started talking about cameras because his wife just broke the one he bought her for Christmas, so he just went out and got her a new one. And I was telling him about the new Nikon D40s because they're on sale this week for like $500 at Best Buy which I think it really cool. I started talking about cameras and how much I love it ect...and he ended up taking out his old Nikon F801 with these two AWESOME lenses (older but still so cool) and this insane flash. And we were just going through it and taking pictures and sTuff, he was showing me a couple things and he was like....I haven't used this in 10 years, those lenses will fit on yours, you can have it. HE FUCKING GAVE ME IT TO ME!
Dude, I am seriously the happiest kid EVER right now. My Nikon is so outfitted it's not even funny.
