I raced the Soil Saloon yesterday on my Intense Tracer, lots of SS guys, and one awesome dude on a Uzzi (easily the biggest bike out there). It was like a mini poker run with fun stops. They had Indian territory; Gravediggers site, Sherriff's, Gold Miners, and a Bandit. It was a short course with either beer, shots or smoke at different stops. We had to get gold nuggets at a creek crossing from the miners, and then give it to the others for cards, five cards and you finished the race. I noticed I was getting bumped from behind by people for no reason, like in a wide part of the course or where everyone bottlenecked slowly. Turns out some asshole was trying to break my derailleur, fortunately it held up and I finished anyway. I was joking with all the people at the different stops, and in the end I won a category. The gravediggers awarded me for "best eulogy" because I goofed with them every time I went by. So you don't have be the fastest or some raging ass calling out "heads up" or bashing someone's bike to win, that alone makes the Soil Saloon my favorite race this year.
