My show is officially open!!!!
I'm serious, I think this show nearly killed me. I mean, I really enjoyed myself and I feel pretty happy about my work, but it was a whole ton of time and energy to get it where it is.
So far people have been very positive on the set. I'm excited/nervous to see the reviews. The show itself is pretty...

well, it looks like the scene shop may have trashed my set. They just didn't really take their time, plus they only half listened to me on ideas that required the whole thing to be done or else it won't work. Its not like my way of doing stuff was the only way, but its a way that can't be done half assed. I would...

You know, I really really really hate spiders! Seems like they are every where in my house right now. Its the dumbest thing, but I am truly scared shitless of them....

I have a midterm tomorrow (cant believe its already that time, huh...). I'm pretty nervous, but I feel alright about it. I guess we will see. This will be the week of all-nighters painting...

Almost time to go back to fucking school. *sigh* this break was super weak. I got a design job which will pay and such, even though its just being an assistant. I'm pretty stoked about that though, just cause its more practical experience which is always good.
Got invited to go study music in eastern europe. I thought about going, but its during the time...

FUCK YES!!!!
I just found out I'm going back to london again this summer! I honestly couldn't be happier about it.

Set designs are going well. I'm trying to not get to behind on my design for "Tommy", but all I can think about is "Angels in America". Goddamn that show is gonna be cool. I think this is the first time I've felt totally...

Fuck its been a crazy week. I am fucking so glad its the weekend.
I had 2 midterms this week and a major project due. The project turned out really cool. It was a set design for "Hedda Gabler", but I did it sort of abstract. I like the way the model turned out, but it kinda drained the life out of me (if you...

Hi -
I just noticed that you were asking about Central St. Martins in the Theatre group-
I went there to visit back in 2001 to see if I wanted to go there for set design- I have been a designer since college and thought for a while that I wanted to study in London. It's an awesome place- There's a small studio room for the group of about 15 students. They work on projects that are based on design for performance- some of their projects are more like art installations than theatre sets.
The guy who runs it (I am not sure if he still does) was really laid- back. I went to visit and interview and he looked at my portfolio and told me right away that I would be accepted if I applied. I didn't go because it was going to be really expensive. It's at least 20 grand per year and on top of that the price of living in london is pretty steep- but if you want a good training program- I think it would be way cool.
Good luck

Ground plan finished and approved!!!
thank god thats over with.
Everyone I have talked to is telling me to figure out a way to london. I think if money works out I will go. Check out the fortune cookie I got:

You will travel far and wide, both pleasure and buisness.

Kinda ironic.
Anyways, I haven't eaten yet, so I better go do that...

My midterm went pretty well, which was a big relief. I hate testing....

Our school just announced they will most likely add a graduate program on to the design department, which is ridiculous cause we don't even have great facilities for undergrad. On the other hand, it would attract a lot of money to the program, with which we could upgrade, so I'm not totally...

I'm at Academy Drama School in Whitechapel http://www.eada.demon.co.uk/ It's one of the full few schools that combines classical theatre training with screen acting.
Just a word about RADA, while it might look great on your CV it may take your whole career to pay back the fees. RADA is ultra expensive and is located in one of the most expensive areas of London so unless you have so much money you don't know what to do with it I would suggest robbing a large bank before applying there.

Very cool. Looks like a pretty nice place. It to bad they dont't seem to have much in the way of technical stuff.

Yeah, rada is waaay expensive. Its pretty ridiculous really, and I doubt I could pay for it. I think I will apply anyways, just to see.

Luckily most of the deadlines for next year are in January or something like that, so I can think on it for a while.

So I have a huge midterm tomorrow. Its in my theatre history class, and its supposed to be damn hard. Needless to say I'm pretty worried...
Started on my set model today, I will have to post pics once I finish it. I should be much farther than I am, but ok well.

For some reason I woke up at 4:30 and started getting ready...

Central St Martins is a good school, I've only heard good things from people that have gone there and as for London you can't move for theatres. Hey if you do hop the pond you might be able to see me in something.

School is going to kill me this semester. Its not that I don't like my classes, I just can't believe the work load they create. It looks like I will be designing a set this semester, but I'm not sure what yet.

And the big news is that I am officially designing the set for "Angels in America: Millenium Approaches" next semester. I am super...
