hmm. recently saw donnie darko for the first time. why did this movie escape me until now I have no iea.
going to providence on tuesday, then off to chicago wed. and thurs. luxt friday. next week promises some very good things.

sounds like you've been having an interesting time. Definitely going to take you up on the beers and story time though. Not sure when we are coming out. We were going to be coming for the River Rave cuz SG was gonna send Kiscica and Isobel for free, but looks like that might fall through because the concert is limiting them too much. Oh well, would have been cool, but we can't afford to go unless its free. 
We'll definitely make plans to come down and hang soon though.

my friends introduced me to DD last year, i loved it. jake and maggie gylenhhal were a solid find, it's great to see their careers doing well (not to mention gary lundy whos' moving slower but definitely in a good direction). its funny, but i enjoyed the unknown (at the time) actors performances much better than the named people.

sigh. so a weekend of suicide girls at my apartment and i missed most of it...;=) oh well. the girls are barrels of fun, and it looks like i managed to avoid boring them to death with random bits of political philosophy (this is always a personal victory when i meet people). i found finger paints in my room...HMMMM

New in my life this weekend/today: rejection letter from RISD's MFA program (not surprising, since art schools are really anti under-grad and grad at the same place, but a wee bit painful nonetheless). AND interview today at a well known shoe/athletic company in Canton AND I'm now the proud owner of a dog!
(Which is really scary...... it's a lot more like having a child than my cat has ever been.)

I started out my young life as an architecture student and then wandered into illustration and then thought that web design was my calling and now I'm quite sure that graphic design was where I was meant to be all along..... I love graphic design!

I just met a phd math candidate at Brown..... I'm waiting to hear about my mfa aps to RISD and MassArt. Brown's a great school, although the Providence industrial/goth/music-in-general scene is sort of lacking. (What made you want to go to grad school so young, out of curiosity?)

So are there any spots i might grab something to drink and listen to something decent or is that a forlorn hope? So far Brown is the only school that has gotten back to me with an offer... As for the PhD, well, you might say I feel like I have a lot of energy to spend on thinking about ideas and institutions. Let's just say that my 9 to 5 job is just not a satisfying outlet...
