A little late for thanksgiving but that's no reason to not be thankful :)
This year, I'm thankful for support and time with my family. I've been having a really hard time lately with my health. For those who don't know, I suffer from fibromyalgia, joint hypermobility syndrome and hypothyroidism. What that all boils down to is a lot of pain, severe fatigue and some pretty crazy medication.
This year I've seen more support from friends, family, and strangers, than I could understand was possible. My son being the absolute foremost of all of that. He shows me so much compassion when I'm at my worst, something that only he and very very few others even see. The understanding my little two year old has is crazy. It lights up my world that instead of throwing a tantrum at not getting his favourite sweets at the shop, he puts his energy into helping pick things off the shelf for me and load them at the checkout. He even tells me off if he thinks I'm doing too much, because he wants all my energy "saved to give big cuddles".
For the past week I've been off work for annual leave and got to spend a lot of that time with my son. He is so intelligent and funny that he can brighten anyone's day. This is why I'm thankful for support and time. Life is short, and although some of us have limitations, we should make the most of it :)
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!
