Wow, what a difference a venue can make. We totally rocked the place. We even got encored twice. That feels really good after having the worst show of your band's career. But everyone says the Stork Club is notorious for that, so I guess I shouldn't feel so bad about it.
The dumb thing was, they made it sound a lot more exclusive than they actually made it. Apparently everyone could come inside, but they were only "inviting" restaurant workers/bartenders and musicians. Lame. The pitchers were only $5 too. Can you believe that? $5! Y'all needs to come out here fer the next one!

So Stork bad, Blake's good? The only time I've been to the Stork Club, I didn't really like the atmosphere. It also made it so that only friends of the band showed up, making for an audience of about ten people.

I love to hear about good shows! I totally feel you with the good venue/bad venue thing...It makes so much of a difference! Le sigh. I wish I was there! Next time, I will have to catch a show.
