Alright, alright, I'll change my damn journal! Holy jesus fuck.
I was supposed to go camping out in Pinecrest this weekend, but my band has a show coming up, so I opted to have a couple days of much-needed band practice instead. I also think I needed to lock myself in my house for a little bit and get away by NOT getting away. If that makes sense.
I wanted to check out the "So You're Not Going to Burning Man BBQ" but band practice ended up going all day, so I missed out. I stayed home and watched 21 Grams with my roommate instead. It was nice to just sit at home and not do anything for once.
Sunday I woke up fairly early, so I headed over to the Pork Store for brunch and met up with Tegan, SonofMorrissey, sixsixty, and thatmikeguy. I only had coffee and bacon. Mmmm, coffee and bacon.... *drool*
Bliss showed up a little later with her friend Rick, and while we were chilling outside, Tegan's friend told us about a show featuring a band called Slotmachine, with members ranging in age from 7-11. The singer is the 7 year old. Sounded fantidlyastic, so we made a mental note to show up. Stinkyfase showed up with HeckaHella, but those guys are evil and I tend to stay away from them.
I saw Garden State once again, and a certain somebody who's name starts with a T and ends with an Egan started crying. Fortunately she refused to snot on my arm. Phew! After the movie, we headed over to the non-bbq at nolove's and ate all of SonofMorrissey's chips and dip. YUM.
We realized we were late for the show, so we hauled ass JUST in time to wait for over an hour for Slotmachine to go on. Amazing. Fucking amazing. I wish you all were there to see that shit as well. thatmikeguy and nolove were thinking of going, but I think they were busy fondling each other's vaginas, so they never showed up. Sucks for them! After that, a little cell phone drama, and then off to bed.
I love that I did absolutely nothing on Saturday and then tried to do everything I possibly could on Sunday. Major props to Tegan for actually putting up with my dumb ass for most of the day. Hey, did you know "please" and "thank you" are great words in the English language? I did not know that!
