I'm at work right now and I've wasted an entire hour trying to catch up on everybody's journal. Good thing I'm on the computer in the corner.
My Valentine's weekend was awesome. One of the top ten greatest times of my life. I was so happy to be with my chica for Valentine's too, since she's on the wrong coast. Hehe. Needless to say we did a whooooole lot of walking. And it was freezing. It would be impossible to overstate exactly how freezing it was. Because not only was it freezing, but it was windy as fuck. And I don't do well in San Francisco weather.
Boston was alright. I'd been there before, so it wasn't anything new. Mi chica and I had a romantic lil' Italian lunch/dinner at Papa Razzi off of Newbury. Being the sugar mama that she is, she also paid for it. As well as everything else that entire trip. Including my plane ticket. God damn do I love her!!!!.
Sunday and Monday were spent in New York. La chica found $10 bus rides, so that was pretty friggin sweet. I got to see a lot of things too, even though I was only there for two days and one night. I saw the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center (or the site of it, I guess). Times Square, the Village, Noho, Soho, Staten Island, Central Park, Wall Street, Radio City, Rockefeller Plaza, etc etc. Good god it was a blast.
Monday morning we had brunch with my friend's landlord's daughter and some other tenants. Her mom is Croatian and cooked a fucking feast! Sooooo good. Everything was goooooood. Mmmmm.... she cooked this thing caled Sarma or something like that, and it's basically pickled stuffed cabbage. Soooo gooooood!!!! The same friend took us out for dim sum in China Town on Sunday too. Now I've been to lots of China Towns, and I love to get dim sum on Sundays, but they had this specialty thing that my friend calls soupy dumplings. They're regular dumplings, but they're soupy inside, and there's a special way of eating it. Weird, but some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life. Anyone in NY, although you probably have already, should eat at Joe's Shanghai. Or something like that.
Wow, well I really need to get to work now. Maybe I'll fill in some more of the story later. Ta ta for now!
