Yeah my punk ass finally got a job in the Twin Cites, it's at a shop called Ace tattoo. I think it has had a checkerd past, but the new manager seems like he wants to turn things around and I think I'm just the cat to help him do it. There are some issues with what I am being paid, but I'm gonna give it a shot for a while. We will see what happens.

i know a few artists in pgh that are in the same boat, though they are just young rookies. pgh has over 20 shops, so its hard to score yourself a name here. basically all that screams "good" are Don McDonald, Steve Morris, Chris Blick. and a dash of Sean McCarthy.
but there are those younger dudes that are doing up some wicked shit, just have little exposure and few clients that are willing to let them simply go at it and run. give them a section of their body to play with and turn into a masterpiece to give them a little foot in the door to start making a name for themselves.
plus-- shops with "checkered backgrounds" give little opportunity to these guys. its hard to get a place on its feet once it has a tainted name for any reason.
i'm doing just that for a kid, giving him both of my hips. i'm gonna check it out tomorrow. i hope to show off some magic soon.
Good luck in MSP
