Happy Monday !!!
Another Hallmark weekend is finally over. Tonight will be the last few dregs of people celebrating Mother's Day. I hope that everybody got to do something nice for their mother, don't forget who wiped ur ass all those years ;-)
Interesting enough weekend. I am tired though, over 40 hours in 3 days....a little over a 1000 people fed.....my forearms hurt, which means I was slinging alot of pans and pulling alot of plates.....it is the life though, and I secretly love it. The adrenaline is better than any drug.
Friday I saw these little guys,
Saturday I worked with Di in the morning. We did a radio luncheon for an emerging artist. It is always a pleasure to work with my 'sistah christian', not even work really. The door to the DJ booth is in the upstairs kitchen, so after we put the food out (banquet style so you know it was easy!) we went and watched him perform.
James Blunt
He was quite good, a little sappy, but I will probably get the CD. I like to have a mix.
He was also very polite. He walked by Di and I on his way to the stage and thanked us for his 'tea service'.
After that I went to Aria for night shift. Michilo and I started knocking out some prep and rocking the Muzak in the kitchen before la familia arrived. Omar arrived and he tells me to go outside with him. He wanted to show me this
the picture is a little shoddy, but I didn't want to disturb their nest. It is 2 baby blue birds. I was pleasantly suprised by Omar showing me this.
It is an archaic symbol in my life and I also didn't expect to see Omars soft side. He's a pretty seasoned line cook, and well, we have had some vicious fights on the line. He is the one person I am dreading telling the most about putting in my notice. I have really grown to love Omar, we had a really ROUGH go at first, but now we have grown to respect and appreciate eachother. We work well together. I don't even know when to tell him I am leaving, probably should do it soon though, but not before his day off this week. He would fuck me over just as fast as he kisses me on the cheek. Like I said, this ain't my first rodeo
Sunday saw this adorable little guy

Hope everybody had a great weekend!!!!
