Walking through the streets of the city
Dark wet and cold yet I feel immune
Others huddle away from the rain and I rejoice in it
Waiting watching looking with catlike eyes at those who traverse the darkness
A man drives by in a car from another era that is black as the night sky. The man drives slow, he looks to be hunting
The darkness is my only companion in the walls of this city
I stop to watch as the man slowly drives up the vacant street
No not man monster.
I wonder is he is another creature of the night?
The night is minenot his.
I see through his man suite and can watch the demon that resides in his soul
I call the shadows around me to hide my presence from him
The car comes near mewith in a few feet
I can see him looking for a victim his mouth watering with the thrill, his eyes fixed with hunger.
He looks past me.he didnt see me.
The shadows hid me welldarkness has always welcomed me
Under the rays cast down from a streetlight his real face is reviled before it passes
The face is a deep red his eyes glow softly set back in deep sockets, his chin long and pointed
I must fallow him; he means to hurt my city
I close my eyes calling out to the darkness as my physical body melds into a pool of shadow. I move across the street as free moving puddle of darkness I move faster then he can.
I must fallow him fallow himand confront himwhere is he going?
What powers dose this strange demon have?
I have to know.
