the rock hop and roll tour is over! it is a bittersweet thing. i am excited to get back to playing clubs and what not but i will miss the umbrella guys. over all those guys were super cool, jay and dennis were the ones i connected with the most. the only time i ever got pissed is when they would play like four songs for sound check and we would only have enough time to check one song while people were walking in. they were def. my favorite band we have toured with! but the tour is over and it was good to find out what kind of relationship we are going to have with Quick Artist!
so far the best thing that has happened on this tour was an outside booking agent found us. he lives in brazil but books all around the world! he is already talking to us about booking us a european summer tour for '08 and bringing us down to brazil to play around ten shows with Third Day! how crazy is that, me playing in brazil with third day. i mean although i really do not listen to their music that much, i grew up listening to them! plus to play in another country in front of around ten thousand people would just blow my mind!
right now i am sitting in aunt tracy's bath tub! it is really good to see her and dennis again. it has been around three years since i saw them last. yesterday was going to be the first show with the Alarm bands. we drove fourteen hours to get to the show in detroit. upon arrival we find out the show was canceled two weeks prior and the promoter did not even have the guts to call us. so today we are going to lansing to hopefully play the first show of this last part of the tour.
home is so close but i want to stay away!
