Red Right Ankle
This is the story of your red right ankle
And how it came to meet your leg
And how the muscle, bone, and sinews tangled
And how the skin was softly shed
And how it whispered Oh, adhere to me
For we are bound by symmetry
And whatever differences our lives have been
We together make a limb.
This is the story of your red right ankle.
This is the story of your gypsy uncle
You never knew cause he was dead
And how his face was carved and rift with wrinkles
In the picture in your head.
And remember how you found the key
To his hide-out in the Pyrenees
But you wanted to keep his secret safe
So you threw the key away.
This is the story of your gypsy uncle.
This is the story of the boys who loved you
Who love you now and loved you then
And some were sweet, some were cold and snuffed you
And some just laid around in bed.
Some had crumbled you straight to your knees
Did it cruel, did it tenderly
Some had crawled their way into your heart
To rend your ventricles apart
This is the story of the boys who loved you
This is the story of your red right ankle.
My Girlfriend gave me two of The Decemberists CD's. I'm blown away... I mean... BLOWN AWAY, by the lyrics. I mean, who uses words like Stevedore and Ambling? The Decemberists do, that's who.
So, I heard of a wonderful new addiction from my good, good friends Bluetrust and Lankakitten. By the way, if you're going to play this game, listening to the Decemberists makes the experience that much more enthralling.
So, To recap: Decemberists + Pirates = I've wasted my weekend.
I'm very excited that the sets are going up 2x a day. I got to see Rowan's lovely set, which I wouldn't say so much that I've been anticipating as I have been really wanting her picture to be in that row you see above you. And now it is. And so I'm happy.
But just for the sake of argument, she's a looker, that one.
Let's see, what else can I write about? Oh, I'm a zombie or two on urbandead.com It's fun, but slow going, and you'll really want to get to know other survivors if you play as one, because you'll die fast. Even if you become zombiefied, you can get someone to "resurrect" you.
Back to the Decemberists, I'm seeing them bright and early on Monday with my girlfriend.
I think that's it. I'm going to go pump bilge or something. or maybe go to bed. or eat something.
