here's a concept that I'm batting around in my head.
Don't buy the Mini.
Pros: I'm wouldn't spending $26,000 on a car. basically that either means I don't have to have a 40 hour a week job OR I can save tons of money up and still have a full time job. with that "tons of money" I could save for about 2-3 years and buy a house. Or, I could get a part time job, have money enough to go to school and travel maybe 4 times a year (travel as in fly across the country for a week at a time).
Cons: my car could crap out. Realistically, my car has probably another 50,000 miles in it before I'm going to run into serious trouble. that's about 3 years, more if I'm proactive about maintainence. It's certainly got 6 months left in it, and will be roadworthy for the trek to Prom. But if it did suddenly die say, a year from now, and I had to get a new car, I wouldn't be able to get a Mini because they don't stock them at the dealer. I'd have to order, and that's a 6 month wait, and that pretty much means unless there's one that someone else didn't buy on the lot when I needed to buy, I wouldn't get what I wanted in one. Most don't come stock with an automatic, and I will not touch stick. I'd just get into an accident with it, plain and simple.
I'd like your thoughts on the matter.
in other news, I'm forcing myself to try and spend at least 2 hours everyday at work with my boss to train. I need to get off my butt. also, plasma time again. since I figured out the sore throat was piercing related, I'm not as afraid that I'll end up sick from the donation.
other than that, I'm looking forward to this week. it should be a week.

As for the car...I still remain with don't do it. The excitement of a new car only lasts for a week or two and then you are left with payments and maintinence and it's not exciting anymore. Where is the SG prom that you wrote about going to be? I know, I know....I'm out of the loop
