Here's the news.
I'm not getting the tattoo yet. I sorely want to join the ranks of the inked army, mostly because I think it will get me chicks, but I must pay my debt. the feeling of satisfaction in having to not pay someone something every month far outweighs the pleasure I'll get from my arm having some new color on it. Besides, barring a fatal injury, my arm will still be attached to my body in a few months and the odds are good that tattoo artists will still be operating.
One of my roommates was in college, until he had to "drop out" to "save his GPA" whatever those statements mean. he was working briefly as a salesman for some crap, but that job didn't exactly work out. his co-workers were creeps and he had to put in so many hours, it cut in on his video game playing. His parents were apparently supplying some of his monetary needs, but they issued an ultimatum: get a job by july 1st or we turn off the spicket.
This leaves me in a very nervous position. I think my roommate could get a job. If he wasn't so convinced he was worth (and therefore only would take) a $10 an hour starting wage. There's an opportunity for him to work with me, but I'm leery of that. My roommate seems to be flaky, and that would look bad on me if he took the job and then left after 1-2 months. Then again, I might do the same if something better comes along.
the point is I don't want to be stuck with a three bedroom apartment and only 2 bedrooms (me and the other roommate, a paralegal) occupied. That would royally suck big floppy donkey dick. I'm going to confront him and tell him how I'm seeing this. I don't think he's going to be able to get a job, especially if he's got this stick up his ass that he's going to get a $10 an hour job. If he's going to have to move out and go home to Olympia, I'd like to know so we can get a two bedroom apartment, me and the paralegal roommate. I couldn't find anyone to take this guy's place here, I don't think, and neither could the paralegal.
sigh.
