With making tea favors and putting up shelves to see that we have an entire shelf devoted to tea it's got me thinking it's time for a tea party. CFQ and I discussed a tea party picnic in the park before, but it's still too cold for that. I'm thinking that each guest brings their favorite tea (loose or bags- we can accommodate bot) and a teapot if the have it (so we can set up different pots around the table on trivets). They also get ridiculously dressed up as if they are going to high tea with the queen.
I tossed around the idea of making it a mad hatter party, but i think i like the absurdity of tea with the queen in NJ just fine.
Anyway, before I can ever do this, we need to get this place in order. We need to finish getting our new chairs (2 at a time), I need to make my candles and I need to get more teacups and saucers. I have this amazing carnival glass dinner set with teacups that my mother passed to me, but I will never use that other than holidays with family, as I'd kill someone if they broke something.
