Well, just returned home from Daisy's birthday. Did take a digital camera with me but shelved it after a few photos in favour of dancing lots. *hangs head in shame* Will try harder, next time, I promise. The few I did take are now in the pix folder over thataways *gestures wildly*
Was a fun evening. I, being consistent, was late meeting everyone. Bunch of us arrived in the Salisbury- catcher01 and his missus were there, a whole gamut of Daisy's friends from Stoke (including a few old faces I ain't seen in a while), Yorkie and random, hairy biker types. Which I don't _think_ were with us but I could be wrong.
Didn't stay long given that it was rather warm in there. So, pootle onwards we did to Jilly's where we met up with matt_organic, Felidae, Asha (actually, she was in the pub. I just forgot), Munchkin and of course Daisy, who's birthday we were there to celebrate. (Though, when she refused the offer of drinks twice, I did inform her that I'm normally too tight to offer so she should make the most of the opportunity). She declined.
Was good to catch up with them after not having seen them in about 18 months. Though, I must now profess my undying love for Munchkin due to the first thing he said when he arrived- 'Wow. Jamie. When did you get thin?'. This made me happy (I'm shallow, so what?). I bought him a drink for this.
Also, a lovely girl called Ray (whom had lived in Stoke for years and I'd been around but never actually spoken to) offered to teach me how to do poi, when I expressed an interest. She asked me what I did on wednesday evenings, to which the reply was 'live in manchester'. 'twas a lovely gesture of her to do so, 's just a long way to go every wednesday, y'know? *grin*
Daisy seemed to be enjoying herself surrounded by many friends (some site members, some not) which is good. Mission accomplished. *grin* Her and her other half did nag me about going to their Resurrection night, which I promised I would. The date is two weeks hence, and go I shall. Or die trying.
Well, maybe not _die_ but y'know, stub a toe or something...
Though, the lightweight birthday girl did disappear early... *pretend irate scowl*
grrmutter...'spose it's her birthday but...muttergrr
Anyways, much thanks to those who came, saw, left with traffic cones etc, I had a very enjoyable time.
Special thanx to matt_organic for the conversation and catcher01 was, as always, wasted. But charming too...
Take care y'all. Bedtime for me....
