Okay, so this process of getting a new car has been absurd. Here's the short short story:
Put my old car online to sell it. Had trouble getting contacts from people who weren't insane. Dealer told me I could get $2,500 on it for a trade-in, which is pretty much what I was gonna' sell it for. Score. Found out my dad lost the title, and I had to wait six weeks to get a new one. Fuck. Found out from the dealer that if I had told them before ordering the new title, they could have gotten it for me in less than 10 days. However, because the new title was already in process, I was screwed. I was kinda' upset. Came home tonight to find the replacement title in the mail. Holy shit, everything actually worked out okay for once.
So here's the deal. My brother is gonna' get temp plates for my old car tomorrow so we can drive it to the dealer. Saturday I'm gonna' head up there, trade it in, and get my new 2005 Honda Civic Si!!! Woo-hoo!!! After a lot of thought, I think I'm gonna' get a black one. While I was cleaning my old car to sell it (a white Grand Am) I realized that every single little imperfection shows up clear as day on a white car. Every scratch, dent, ding, chip...everything. Yeah, the white looks nice, but so does the black. I figure I'll head up to Grappone on Saturday and check out a black one (they have one in stock). If I like it, I'll buy it on the spot. If I still think I'll like the white one better, I'll order it. We'll see what happens.
Now it's time to head off to the Backroom to meet up w/ my friends and get plastered. Good times...good times.
