So the surgery went fairly smoothly. I was in pretty good pain for the first four days or so, and after that it slowly dropped off (it still hurts now, just not nearly as bad). Overall I'm doing okay. I went back to work last Tuesday, which was hard the first few days just 'cause of all the walking around and whatnot. I can finally wear jeans again, which is nice 'cause the 24/7 sweatpants were getting a little annoying. In short, things are progressing slowly but steadily.
Not much else to report, really. The Sox lost, so they can go screw, but at least my Astros are still going strong! They're against the best team in baseball in the NLCS, but they also have the best starting pitching rotation in the majors. It should be a good series. PS: I want a Roy Oswalt jersey (the alternate red one). lol
I'm still listening to nothing but the new Coheed album. Literally, that is ALL I am listening to. I keep finding new and amazing things to constantly keep my interest. Songs like "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)" and "The Suffering" keep getting played again and again, but I'm discovering the intricacies of songs like "Apollo I: The Writing Writer", "The Lying Lies and Dirty Secrets of Miss Erica Court", and "The Willing Well I - Fuel for the Feeding End". It's like watching your favorite movie. The first time through you get the general idea, but each viewing after that you just find more and more stuff that makes you love it that much more. It's been a long, long time since I've owned a record I was legitimately excited about. Honestly, if you've never heard them (or not much of them), and like music with actual artistic integrity enough to overlook his weird (but amazing) voice, drop me a line and I'll send some of their stuff over to you.
Alright, time for sleep. For years and years I never remembered my dreams, but lately I've been remembering them quite vividly. So much so that I've noticed something of a similar thread running through them that I think I may try to put down on paper as some sort of short story or something. Kind of like a cross between "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "50 First Dates", and some sort of post-apocalyptic future on the run. Hopefully I'll get some sort of continuation of the story tonight. Goodnight!!!
