K, bought myself a thursday off by working a 26 hour shift yesterday. And yes, it was worth it.
I slept in, finally got mostly un-packed, watched too much tv. I may even take a nap...
I did afford myself a small indulgence... My Jeep's been dirty way too long (a last minute, this is my last chance to hit some mud on Mt. Hood before I send it to the freight company thing...). Now normally I would never take it to a car wash. The tracks that tow your car through are just too dangerous for oversized tires like mine. And having someone else do it just always seemed not only a waist of money, but an act of sheer laziness. Besides, those of you who know how much I am in love with my Jeep might understand that I actually enjoy washing it. It's an escape for me. But stuck down here with not a hose nor bucket, I was left without recourse. Then I saw it.... "100% hand wash car wash"!!! I tell you, we really need one of those in Oregon. $15 almost a half an hour later, and I tell you, I might not have been able to do a better job myself. Those guys got my jeep so clean I almost had an orgasm just looking at it. Nothing puts a smile on your face like a clean rear-view mirror. They even lifted the 4wd shifter and vac'd out the slide console... Sooo happy. I heart Stevenson Ranch Car Wash.
