wow, what an exhausting weekend. in a good way.
saturday i walked to a bike shop to pick up a sweet ride for my womon, which
we then rode to intonation fest. i tried to scare her off of ever riding
bikes in the city by taking her through our old neighborhood on a street
with no bike lane, cos i'm evil like that
intonation fest was pretty cool, but it started off badly. we were pretty
hot, exhausted, and dehydrated from the ride, and had no cash to get water
with, so we stood in line for the ATM through the entire four tet set. not
that seeing four tet was really that important, although i did enjoy
the sounds.
while we cooled of in the shade during broken social scene, we saw
starguitar walking past. i couldn't remember his real name, so like
the internet loser i am, i yelled "STARGUITAR!11ONE" to which he did not
respond. so i had to run up and catch up to him and si hi like a normal
person.
when it came time for prefuse73, we wandered up closer and found
hepburn completely by accident. he then got a call from other
sgchicago members, so we wound up standing near girl303,
itburns, nerdboy2345, hepburn, and some other
friends of friends. and, during death from above, we saw jesus.

then, after skipping out on tortoise and any afterparty action, we crashed
for a few hours before waking up to head to great america with
ladyk, spiked, and olsen. we got to meet
metaleric, FOEBOK, and foebok's brother. as well as
hanging out with the regular sgchicago crew. great america was very hot,
except for our occasional dip into the bacteria bath and the rapids. there
is a water park there now, but like most things at great america, it's a lot
more waiting than enjoying. even the pool. other than the water park, tho,
it was pretty fun. especially when we took over the bumper cars.
