Yeah--it's Friday and I'm starting to feel like a human being again, my favorite candidate won the debate last night and life is looking better, maybe?? At least I only had to work 2 days this week, even if I did have to be miserably sick to get the days off--lol. Maybe by Monday, I'll even be able to breathe again! Here is a poem I wrote the other day--hope you enjoy:
Deluded Temptress
She walks in shallow emptiness
beneath the full moonlight
her followers fall and worship
her, they beg to feel her bite.
She ignores, then taunts them,
they quiver at her feet,
her weary mind often wonders
if a worthy love she'll meet.
Then one day it happens,
one who can harness her power,
her teeth slide in and find the
vein, it is her finest hour.
But an hour is all she has with
him, he rushes to another's arms,
It seems her dark vamp god
belongs to another's charms.
One he loves for eternity,
with a love so strong and pure,
that even bloody kisses of his
vampiress temptress couldn't lure.
