This topic I found on the blog homework page and thought I would give it a pop. I would like to tag @rambo and @missy .
Lets begin!
It's not everyday you walk through the woods and happen across a shining lamp made of brass, but if that day somehow came about, it would be nice to feel somewhat prepared for anything to happen when you try rubbing the dried on cluster of dirt from the beautifully etched writing on the side.
I mean, what would you do if a beautiful Djinn faded into being before your very eyes and bust out a song of introduction before telling you that you had 3 wishes and 'Ixnay on the more wishes, or bringing back the dead.'
I'd at first be a little depressed that the voice of the Djinn isn't Robin Williams, but I'm pretty sure I would recover quickly and fall into a state of ecstasy of the luck that befell me (unless of course the being corrupts them but I have had a fair experience in corrupted wishes on this site in the silliness thread ;] ) Lets presume that these three wishes MUST be decided within 2 days or else you suffer the terrible fate of being forced into the life of a Djinn.
My first wish would be to bring to life everything mythical and enchanted, The magical forests and creatures that have been created through great photography and skills on photo shop make me miss a world that has possibly never actually been. I'd want all of it brought into reality, the good and the bad. Dragons, Leprechauns, Unicorns, Nephlim, Chimaera all of it to form on the planet. Sure it might end up a complete disaster for the humans, but isn't it about time our species had something that could destroy us as easily as we destroy the planet? Take a look at these images I found!
My second wish would be to spend a whole day as a mermaid. Does that sound odd? (I did just make the world magical!) Lets face it, the human race is so engrossed about what is in space that they haven't actually considered that the real aliens may just be hidden deep within the ocean. As a mer-creature, I could explore the depths of the ocean where no human has explored, I'd be able to breath under water and see the beauty without limitations. Who knows, I may even make friends with this guy....
Finally, my last wish (which i found easier than my second) would be to be transformed into a chimera of my choice. These creatures are fantastic, a hybrid between 2 or more creatures. Beautiful and yet terrifying. I would ask this because the mythical creature fascinates me, and what better than being able to take to the skies as a creature that looks like a creation of Frankenstein, I would wish for the wings of the Andean Condor, the body and head of a panther with a cobra tail. Atop my head would be the horns of a ram. Prepared for battle and ready to slink into the fantasy world I have wished into existence!
It's really quite hard to think of three wishes, avoiding generic happiness, love money and OMG world peace! its all just ridiculously badly thought out (or not thought out enough??) Not that mine are better but at least by the end of my wishes I managed to change the world and my species.
