So I went to see the specialist today and he took my cast off. They gave me an aircast. I can slowly being to put more and more pressure on my foot/ankle and slowly stop using both crutches. It hurts a bit more because the aircast moves around a bit.
My foot was HUGE when the cast was taken off. It was very swollen from the plaster cast and from lack of use. It looked awful. My left ankle on the outside its still swollen and bruised, that is where the break is. I saw the x-rays a bit better this time and there were two slight dark lines on the tibia (sp?), the smaller bone of the ankle. It's more of a crack than a bull break. The doctor said that the less they do is actually better for the healing process. I go back in two weeks for him to check on the healing progress and take another x-ray. It seems like it is still going to be awhile before I can rollerskate again.
