Made it up to Red Feather Lakes a few weeks ago. Hiked a beautiful trail, Lady Moon, to Disappointment Falls. The name. as expect, was a bit deceiving and I was fairly satisfied. It was a really nice place to have a beer and smoke a jay. :) After my hike we found a day use area around a nice little lake and grilled up some burgers. Before heading home we stopped at Shambhala Mountain Center, it's a Buddhist temple, we took a walk to the Stupa in THE perfect weather. It was really overcast, there was lots of thunder and lightning, it really added to the vibes the entire grounds were giving off. We made it all the way to the Stupa before it started pouring haha. Unfortunately, due to all of the fires last year we were unable to go in but it was fun hanging out under the overhang while we waited for the rain to die down. It was really fun, the vibes were almost spooky and the hair on my body was standing up the entire time. I'm sure a lot of this had to do with the weather haha. On top of the eerie setting we were the only people out there which is pretty rare in places this popular in Colorado. Really cool experience, so cool I didn't get a single picture ;p This was a really incredible day and entirely spontaneous. Adventure everyday, every way!
