Life has been a interesting journey for me ever since i left my job on Vancouver island and decided that i was very dissatisfied with where i was living and what i was doing with my life at that point and time. It was not shortly after i recovered from my kidney surgery i rushed to a dive doctor to complete my medical i needed to become a commercial scuba diver and hopefully in my naive view of the world was hoping that this could be my big break and a start to a new life where i could have the adventure of a truly amazing job and living in a beautiful part of British Columbia hours and a ocean apart from any close friends or family that was at at all close to me at all. The island is a truly beautiful place but man does it suck to try live there i could never find a place to rent at all , and the dive jobs i was working didnt pay me enough to get ahead at all even to the point that i was loosing money working and could not afford to do at all. I ended up buying a older van and started converting it to live out of so i could be in some form of control of my life and not have to rely on anyone at all ( which is easier said than done, trust me on that one), i lived out of my van for just over a year on the island trying to work and make something better for myself till i realized that the danger i put myself in everyday was not worth the pennies i was barely making and my van was my escape and freedom to something new, anything new what ever it maybe and honestly i still have no idea what that could be at this point i am just taking life each day at a time and trying to take advantage of any new opportunity that may come my way.
After leaving the island i took the whole summer off and road tripped halfway across Canada arriving in Winnipeg, Manitoba where i was able to meet up with a old friend and reconnect after about 5 years of barely hearing a word from him and i was lucky enough to see and really pick the brains of alot of my old friends from Prince George, Edmonton, Calgary and even made some friends at a metal show in drumhellar called LOUD AS HELL.
I am now back home in Prince George and within weeks i was able to land a job working on a railroad crew fixing the rail, pounding spikes and fixing ties getting stuff ready for the winter season... i think i was just laid of yesterday didnt work today but i think that i might be able to start working at another job doing construction and working something consistent for a while till i figure out my future plans and finding a place out of my parents basement since i have barely been here a month all i know is i need money to move ahead to where ever i want to go next.
