First frustration of the new semester: I can't afford my books. And the most expensive one? The library doesn't have it. And I need to read the first chapter by Friday. Gar. What to do? Maybe ask my interweb friends to buy my books for me? I'll send you a personal thank you somethin'-somethin' and give you all sorts of props online. haha.
(No, I don't seriously expect this to work.)
Also: I'm hungry. I have an apple left of the food that I packed. I was planning to eat it before I went to work. I should have packed more than a salad and some fruit. . . hm. . . haha. I guess I could go downstairs to the Blend and get an Odwalla bar. They've got to have something gluten free. I could just try to stick it out until I get to that delicious chunk of raw tofu with brown rice and French green beans I've got waiting for me in the refrigerator at work. . . I really want the celery and cashew butter that's sitting in my fridge at home. Blast.
Argh. haha.
I had a really good run this morning, in case you care. The air felt amazing. Crazy humid still, but it had that clean, early morning edge to it that makes getting up to run after four hours of sleep feel so good. Mm!
Anyway. I need to go to my feminist theory and methodology class now. I'm really looking forward to this class. It's taught by the world-famous Dr. Leslie Picca (check out her work on racism). I love having internationally recognized scholars teach my classes. This is the third female prof I've worked with who has been on TV or has been otherwise recognized. Wee!
Ooh! They have popcorn at the campus bowling alley. haha. I just don't want to get to work and pig out on snacks. Given, my snacks are still a lot healthier than most people's ideas of a healthy meal, but it's the spike in blood sugar and caloric intake at the end of the night that I don't want. Not like I need to really worry about my weight, but maintaining my metabolism and overall health are super important.
And I need to get help for being a crazy person.
Qs:
1. What's the most you've paid for a text book?
2. The least?
3. What's your favorite part of autumn?
4. Where were you born?
5. Which came first: chicken or egg?
