So much to tell. . .
I'll start by explaining my cryptic previous entry:
On Friday, XfistXflyingX flew in from NOLA to visit. We went shopping in the little mall in Newport, and he wouldn't let me pay for my new bikini (black with a white skull and crosbones on the left tit and right asscheek) or wife-beater. Then we went to the aquarium. So much fun. I've been there before, but didn't have nearly as much fun! He was all nervous and cute and hyper. I was nervous and timid and kept laughing. After the aquarium, we got lunch at Cafe Istanbul then went to the zoo. We got back to Dayton just in time to get him checked into his suite in a bed and breakfast in the Oregon District. I spent the entire weekend with him. Lots of snuggles and kisses and smiles. :-D
Also on Friday, our friends brought over the little brown pitbull we adopted from them. Unfortunately, Miss Claymensa was left in the backyard n Sunday by a certain roommate who didn't really bother to look for her. So . . .
Tuesday, driving back to CInci to take my boo back to the airport, I got my first speeding ticket!!! YAY! Woo! Gotta love fucking West Chester. Damn yuppies.
So. . . I get home later, scour the neighborhood for Claymensa, call all the shelters. . . to no avail.
Wednesday morning, I get a call from the Animal Resource Center. Claymensa was picked up by a police officer two blocks from the house right after she got out. He lists her as a pure-bred pitbull. I pay the eighty dollars to get my pup out of the pound and accept the minor misdemeaner charge that goes with failure to control a "vicious dog". I'm making my roommate pay that fine. The dog is now registered in my name and has my phone number on her tag. So I'm the proud new mama of a little, wiggly brown pitbull. And I'm in love. She sleeps in my bed and follows me everywhere.
The speeding ticket: I thought I was going to have to go to court, but it turns out, I can just pay the bond of $250. The clerk I just spoke with told me it would be cheaper than taking a day off of work, driving to Cinci and back, paying the court costs and then the fine. And then she pushed back my payment by a week. What a doll!
So yesterday, my daddy takes me to Trader Joe's to get groceries since I'm in dire financial straits with everything that's hitting the fan right now. We stopped at Kroger on the way back to get detergent. His girlfried ran over to the pharmacy part of the store to get some old medicine while daddy and I went to get teh laundry soap. That's when my daddy tells me that he bought the ring!!! He had it custom made by an associate who's in the business. I'm the ooooooooonly person on earth that he's told. I'm very happy for him. Tammy makes him so happy. My little sister is going to throw a coniption fit when she finds out.
And, last but not least, congrats to
Meow for going live yesterday!
