I continue to gain wisdom and perspective from cheesy 80's songs that pop up on the radio, usually 103.3. Here's a recent gem that got my mind thinking positively:
You're not alone, with your, Mixed Emotions.
You're not alone, out on the, Lonely Ocean.
No idea who sang it or what-have-you, but it did strike a chord with me. I've been feeling very lonely since my best friend bit it last week, as I lost a trusted confidant and quasi-confessional. I just enjoyed talking with him and he liked helping me figure out my problems. I helped him quite a bit too, especially with his new marriage. A good thing all around. Well, I know that he's got a Wife and Family members mourning him, and I should get off my ass and write them a letter like I promised myself I would do.
Thank you, unknown synth-pop 80's singer Lady...

I don't know if I can help but if you need to talk just let me know I'm a good listener.
Sometimes when I feel like that I write. It helps a little.
