Sorry for the long haitus.
I been a doing some personal things as of late. But I have managed to squeeze some movies in and I now get to blast some of them for you all.
Harry Potter and the prisoner of a crappy movie.
What the hell has happened? I looked forward to this movie for years. The third book is the best of the series and had the potential to be the best movie too, but failed miserably. Not only did this movie suck, it sucked bad. It had a great cast, except Dumbledore. I could have done a better dumbledore with a 400lb fat lady facesitting me. He was dry and they put WAY too much Jerry Garcia in him. Dumbledore ain't no damm aging hippie. I'm sorry.
The acting by the kids was lackluster, the sets were bad. They left out so much of the plot, i'm left thinking that someone lost some pages to the script. They didn't utilize the very thing that made Hogwarts Hogwarts, the uniforms. For me that was inexcusible. The first 2 movies had this quirky quality of making you think that you were somehow in the movie. They were one of those rare few that could do that. This one bombed in that area.
My advice to the franchise, dump that actors, dump that god awful director, start fresh and try and put this lame attempt at a movie behind them. I think the 9 year old that was sitting next to me summed it up best. He turned to his mom and said, "That sucked, it just wasn't right" Hail to the chief. This one gets a 4
Shrek 2.
HOLY FREAKING AMAZING!!! go see this and don't eat before or you'll laugh it up all over the big haired AD&D player in front of you. +4 for stench.
10 out of 10 for this one
Dodgeball.
Very funny. Good characters, brainless comedy that will keep you laughing to the end. 8 out of 10.
Around the world in 80 days.
Decent movie. Worth seeing, especially for Jackie Chan. Good acting by the others though. The sets were good, the Gropernator was pretty good in it. Lot's of cameos by some good and funny actors. 7 out of 10.
Well thats that. Been pretty busy otherwise. Making the cheese and bringing the bacon so to speak.
