- Toots was great. The opening band was a bunch of youngsters from Springfield, playing Metal Reggae, at very high volume. I could've done without that. But Toots was very personable, had a lot of energy, and his voice was great. He's got this James Brown dance thing going on too! Did I mention that he was toasted? "Slit eyes" toasted. Maybe that's why he was dancing like James Brown... Well he only dropped the mic once...
- Berkshire Music Hall is a nice venue, very small, so every seat is good. I reccommend the Mezz, first row, if it's music one might dance to. I was in the second row, on the main floor, and at times it was a little hard to see the stage...

Toots, eh? I think I saw him way back when at a summer jazz fest in Atlanta, but was too zonked to remember. Be nice to see him sober. On the subject of the Army 10 miler, I missed it last year as did the wife. She had a # but punked out. Actually, she has quit running altogether. Not sure exactly why. Whatever. Anyway, I might be up for it, but much depends on the bubble gum that holds my feet ankles and knees together staying intact!
