Three things that I have enjoyed headaches from in the last three days.
I know I said I was gonna start it earlier but I finally cracked open The Sound and The Fury. I've been told (by some of you) to make it through the first chapter and I haven't had this much of a reading headache since I took my first shot at Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man. PM me any advice.
I watched The Hunger (the Bobby Sands story, not the David Bowie werewolf one) last night and it was violent and unnerving and gross and beautiful and intense and really really well done. I recommend it, if you can stomach it.
The fun I had on Saturday was worth the hangover I had Sunday. And old friend and his wife *another old friend, actually) had the coolest baby shower in Golden Gate Park and the weather was great and I hung out with friends that I haven't seen in awhile and drank so much beer that I wasn't sure who really won the fight that we spent $60 on that evening and didn't care in the least. Plus, I took BART (the bay area form of an extended multi city subway) and drank in North Beach and walked an awful lot and basically had a wonderful day. (Only one thing could've made it better and I hope she knows that her absence was noticed by more than myself.
And on to the walking: The weather has been very motivational. Today was the first time since Tuesday that I didn't take a walk. (Three of which were pretty ling also.) I'm getting more confident that I'll be ready for that bastard of a breast cancer walk by July.
If you are in the area on the 22nd of May, go to McNally's Irish Pub in Oakland. The owner is letting me throw a fundraiser for it. Basically, buy a couple of drinks and I make money for my walk off of them. I'm having a raffle with some really wonderful donated forms of liquor.
The Fox has been well. Atoms for Peace was great. Spoon was good. Vampire Weekend was fun (I sitll have a hard on the size of Rhode Island because of the outfit she wore to it). On schedule this month: Julieta Venega, The National and She and Him. I might also do the Damian Marley/ NAs Show, if I can fit it in. (I never sleep 'cause sleep is the cousin of death.)
All in all, everything has been fun. Ocho De Mayo BBQ is this Saturday (well, I can't throw a party on a Wednesday, can I?) and then it is busy busy busy for a few months.
Hope all is well.

I was actually talking about you, the other day. My new dude is talking about making a digital jukebox, one that every visitor to our home can plug their ipod into and we will instantly be privy to all their music. The second he explained this idea to me, I was like, "Ooooo, I have this buddy in Cali who needs to come pay us a visit once you've built this...".
