Need to Read.
Need to Walk.
Voss, where is that encouragement. (By the way, stick with the fucking diet. Even if you're delusional about how gorgeous you already are.)
What is it about people, both male and female (although this'll be directed at the females because they are my current subject of interest. Actually, they always have been. Not that I'm knocking it. But I digress, so...) that makes them only want what is no longer offered? I become attracted to certain individuals and pursue it and get nothing. I proclaim "hermitdom" from the mountaintops and isolate my self from the dating world and suddenly they wonder what they did wrong for me to lose all interest whatsoever and take it upon themselves to win me back to the world of dating and all of the headache and heartache it details. Not that I'm really complaining. I've always known (or at least experienced) that disinterest is the best way to get a girl's attention. I've used it quite a few times. It is a nice little position of power. I would just like to be able to like someone(s) and not have to worry about all of this crap. I'm old enough to have played the game and know all of the rules but would like for once to bypass the whole thing and go out for coffee and watch dumb movies and have good wine drunks in early afternoons. But alas, hermit it is, still. At least I'll get laid this way.
On to other news, who needs a girl when you are in love another way. I got the car. It's an 08 Altima and I'm in love with it. Not for the good gas mileage, or that I like the way it looks but for the fact that I can roll (should we even use this term anymore?) down the windows from outside the car using the little lock keychain thing. The sensible stuff is nice, but the toys are just downright fun.
I found another wonderful thing. I don't want to sound like an advertisement but my friend turned me onto a really good website called pandora. (www.pandora.com) You go on it, create a profile and then create your own channel. All you gotta do is type in that you like Tom waits, for instance, and it creates a whole channel based on that. They play similar artists and songs and you have an unlimited supply of music. And, it is free. So, this brings me to the next situation at hand.
I've adopted another New Year's Resolution. I'm gonna go out and see more live music. Especially little indie bands that I've never heard of but are recommended to me by either friends or Pandora. I've fallen behind on my music listening and need to catch up.
That is about it. Except for the normal stuff.
Current book: Still "A Fan's Notes" While I can't express how much I truly love this book, I just haven't been reading enough. I did decide the next book though. "To Begin Where I Am" by Czeslaw Milosz. I don't know anything about it except that it is a collection of essays that seemed really well written as I glanced though it.
Current Movie: Has not changed since the last blog. I just haven't made it to the theater yet.
Current crush: Paz Vega really does something to me. Blood boiling, that girl.
St. Pat's is coming up. So, is Irish Lent. More on that next time.
Oh, and one more thing, GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That means one of two things.
1) You are doing SO MUCH of both you have no time to keep me posted
OR
2) You haven't been doing either and are avoiding the topic.
Here's to the former!
