Some updates are in order I suppose.
The wine tasting with the cousins went well. One of the few perks about my job is that I get free tastings at all of the wineries and usually get upgraded to the reserve lists. We went to Sterling, Joseph Phelps, Stag's Leap and Merryvale. It was in Stag's Leap that I got the call though. (As I was drinking from a $150 bottle of wine, no doubt) Sure enough, I had to be at work at 10pm that night. I didn't let it ruin my afternoon though. It's a good thing I didn't have to drive to work.
The "no likely candidate" thing has already changed. I've dropped all of the distractions and who comes out of nowhere? A girl who is beautiful and fun and smart and says things at a bar while listening to Journey like, "This is the song I belt out at the top of my lungs when I am drunk by myself in my apartment." All the signs say yes bit I'm waiting for my next issue to work it's way through before I do anything.
Which brings us to the next issue. I've been sick for almost 2 weeks. I finally made an appointment for the Dr. (alas, I have neither limes or coconuts) (sorry, had to) but this past weekend it has gotten so bad that my life has become one long wait for the doctor where I'm hoping they'll have some miracle cure for me. Being sick for this long sucks.
I am looking forward to the New Year. I've lived the life of a country music song this year and I'm pretty ready for it to be over. (Meaning, my girl left me, my truck was scrapped after being hit by a drunk driver, my dog didn't die but my kitty did. Not to mention that I've been drinking a lot and pissing off some of my friends. (Those two things aren't related in the way you'd think. In fact, my friends are my biggest enablers.) So, time for some goals.
Although the girl would be #1 on the list, I'd be a better sell if I took the insurance check and put some money down on the new car. (Although, with this one, I get the feeling that it won't matter. Jesus, I can't be liking her this much already.) So, car, girl, still have Ireland in the future, highly considering a way back into school ( I may be repeating some of the stuff I've been saying awhile.) There are some people I would like to distance myself from a bit and there are some I found that I can trust. I need to get back to reading, spend time with the folks, take care of my health (big time) and just start doing stuff in general. Connie, I know you're with me on this
Oh, and if you haven't noticed, The Packers are whooping some major ass. There might be a superbowl in my near future.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention my newest celebrity crush.

Oh and, Pretty Vacant. I hope you had a great fucking birthday.
