"So much time and so little to see... Strike that, reverse it, thank you."
I'll give a smiley face to the first person that can name that quote.
Anyhow, on to the world according to me.
The old lady situation has not improved. It is over and I have already put forth the actions to move on with my life. (No, I have not gotten laid yet) I do have a bit of a crush on someone new though. Now I just gotta go through with convincing her that I'm worth her time. Shouldn't be a problem though because we irish can be some pretty charming motherfuckers.
At this time in out meeting I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to one Brett Favre who is pretty much the God Incarnate of American football right now. If I could be anyone in the world, it would be me and I really like that sonuvabitch so he can't be all that bad of a guy.
Calender for the next three weeks goes a s follows. Try to keep up and wish me luck.
Fri the 5th- off to the city for some museum gawking and then a party at my brother's.
Sat. the 6th- beer festival in downtown Hayward. (I'm pretty sure the new crush will be attending since she is the one who told me about it.)
Sun. the 7th- Columbus Day, or is it Italian Heritage Day or Native American Genocide Day (my personal favorite actually; Fucking European Fucks) in San Francisco. I know I know, Ireland is in Europe. but we were too busy getting our own Island fucked off by the Brit's at that time to go out colonizing the rest of the world. I'm pretty sure it is fleet week also which is cool because while watching the parade, you have fighter jets buzzing by your head. It's kinda surreal.
All this is topped off with the symphony Sun night in the city. They are doing a multi part performance of all of Beethoven's Sonatas. I have ticket for at least 4 of the shows and plan to get all of them when they go on sale.
The following weekend, I have another beer festival and part two of the symphony.
then the 17th I leave for a week (you guys are gonna love this. I'm always complaining about going to the most remote places in California for work and it has finally paid off) for a week's all expense paid trip to Hawaii. I guess they are putting up a new Safeway and the guy who is in charge of putting up the new Safeways in Ca, NV and Hawaii personally requested me to be in charge of the liquor. Best part is that I get there Wed. Work Thurs. and Fri. Have Sat and Sun. off. Work Mon-Wed and then come home. A whole weekend off with my hotel, food and car all either paid for or reinbursed in full. Yes as a matter of fact, I am gloating. I worked hard to be the best damn liqour reset guy in three fucking states. (Actually, it is pretty easy considering almost everyone else is a lazy piece of shit.)
Ok, still with me? Because this is where I'm gonna get a little tired. Kinda like the end of Goodfellas. (I know I used the reference before but it fits. The whole "I had to pick up my brother, drop off the silencers make the sauce, pick up the babysitter, get the drugs etc etc etc thing.")
Thurs 25th I get back from Hawaii and go to dinner with my father and Uncle and Brothers and then it's off to Buffalo's for traditional Thurs night night cap (Buffalo Bill's is the local brewery btw.)
Fri 26th- Jesus and Mary Chain concert.
Sat 27th Two Gallants Concert (If you haven't heard this band, go get their new album. Connie, if you are reading this, I'm sending me a copy as soon as you resend me your address. I'm an idiot and lost your new one. Anyone else just want me to pirate them one, send me the destination and I'll throw it in the mail as soon as I can get to Costco for their buy one get one free blank cd coupon thing.
Sun 28th- The Bridge School Benefit Show. Lot of really cool acts plying mostly accoustic sets but I don't give a shit about any of them because Tom Waits (the voce of any fucking diety that you find fitting, is fucking playing it with the Kronos Quartet so,the rest can all go to hell. I ain't going to see them Actually there are some pretty good acts. Google Bridge School 2007 to find out the rest. This is long enough as it is.
Finally, I've taken a note from PrettyVacant and decided that a change is gonna come. The drinking has become a weekend only privelage. (Not that it was getting out of hand but for awhile it was a very regular occurance.) Thurs. Night Night Caps are excluded from this rule. You can't fuck with tradition. And, I'm gonna start geitting off my ass more often. There are too many nice places in California to not go walking all of the time.
So, to wrap this up, I'm gonna be busy. The next blog entry is either gonna be celebratory or my obituary. Either way, I'm gonna have a damned good time doing it. Wish me luck. And all of those who have made it his far, go find something better to do with your life. (just kidding. I now, if not before, consider you a friend for listening to me blabbering on for a good couple hundred words. I need to lay off of the coffee next.)
Have a good time with youself (both in and out of the bedroom, shower, neighbor's window, well um yeah, forget that one unless you have really hot, kinky neighbors who don't mind, etc.)

yeah, i love that show...all three of them, but vegas has my heart.
we hit up Rock Bottom for the tapping of Scary Cat last night. Very nice White Witbier. they had to clarify, and write that on the board. some folks were still calling it an Ale apparently.
tasty libation is all the explanation i need, however. we even got Free Tshirts! woohoo!
cheers to seeing Tom Waits!!! the Bridge School Benefit is one of the best shows ever...my sis used to go every year...i think i've been twice. i know i went the year that David Bowie was there, and he was allowed to play "man who sold the world" electric.
