Eep! I finally got a call for an internship interview at a psych hospital in New Orleans. The fact that my communication with the supervisor is happening over email is causing me to read all sorts of things into her tone, because I'm nervous and this is important. But even so, I'm just very happy to have something on the line.
Also, I'm having a moment of big love for yoga philosophy right now.
Things I love about yoga as spiritual path:
-It includes every element of life: breath, movement, thought, action, sensuality, emotion as part of the life of the soul.
-It does not make any sort of rigid demand about beliefs that must be held, or any sort of particular way of thinking about God, but rather offers a pathway to find your true self and your highest path, whatever it might be.
-It says that everyone has their own dharma, their own path, their own truth, and no one's path is more or less valid than anyone else's, regardless of how different they may appear on the outside. No one needs to or should try to get anyone else's dharma to match their own.
This makes me immensely happy.
