I am a lonely Kate. Alicia's gone, Brent's at the movies with Bart, and nobody's online. Fuck you guys.
I've been sleepy all day. In related news, it's been a long time since I've napped on a school day. At least that I remember. There may be instances of unreported nap attacks, but I am officially denying their existence at this time.
Dave Barry's going to be lecturing on some random Tuesday in some random room. I got an email about it today. I get emails about everything that goes on in the BHC. Their listserv rides the short bus to school.
I got my honors paper (the one that was making me crumple up my copy of the Tao Te Ching) back, finally. Yes, now that I've got less than two weeks before the next one's due. Fortunately, I got an 81 on it. Higher than Baby Shue Yun (which is really all that matters) and only three points less than the rumored highest score of 84. Dr. Susser wrote this, among other things, on the back of it: "I'm impressed with your understanding of the Tao and the connections you make. You display a sensitivity to the text and a mind to maintain an argument with a text about which it is very difficult to argue..." I was, needless to say, very pleased with myself.
I really need to do laundry. My two favorite pairs of jeans are starting to smell like outside and my sweater is tired of being slept in and generally worn whenever I'm in the dorm.
Tonight is Cartoon Night. South Park, Drawn Together, and the Daily Show (you have to admit, Jon Stewart is terribly animated). Malorie will be coming over at some point and Baby Shue Yun will probably show up after his night class (faggot).
When I went to go check my mail this morning (again, nothing) and found my box still empty (no comments, Brent), I facetiously asked the lady behind the counter if the mail was broken. She glared at me and said "Look, the mail just came in and it hasn't been sorted yet. We're still receiving mail, nothing's wrong with anything" and turned around in a snit. I laughed in her ugly face and left. Stupid cunt.
I think I'm going to go lay down for a while. Alex, I'm listening to Echo right now.
