Found out Saturday night that my friend's 15 year old niece was in the hospital with meningitis. She went in on Thursday evening and passed away early Sunday morning. Very sad.
My other friend's aunt went into the hospital on Tuesday with severe pains in her abdomen. They figured either her appendix was giving her trouble or she had an ovarian cyst. They're not sure what it was exactly. They removed her appendix and while doing so, believe that they ruptured the cyst (if there was one), because she began bleeding as though she was raggin'. The surgery was done on Wednesday, HER BIRTHDAY. Ugh, awful. She was released but went back to the hospital E.R. Friday night due to the pain returning - it turned out to be constipation this time. Heh.
Needless to say, my friends were in rough shape.
On a lighter note, I had a great day yester.. err Satur... no wait. I guess it was Saturday / Sunday. Went out with my best friend to this fundraiser social of her's. Good times. I met a bunch of new and crazy people. I like them very much.
It was a strange night though. Ended up in some weird hotel room, with some girl I had never met before trying to convince me to fly to Toronto with her on Wednesday to become a nude model. I'm sure I probably sat there the whole time with a blank, drunken, stare on face, while I ate my McDonald's. A very drunken stare at that.
From there we went to this little tiny house outside of the city, where this guy was playing guitar and making up songs about all of the people at the house. There was some really wacky items in the house too. I found a sling shot and enjoyed my time with it very much.
After a few hours in the little house we piled a bunch of us into a RX-7 (which should never have people crammed in it - not very comfortable to say the least) and went for a drive. The drive eventually ended us back at the hotel, after a few other stops along the way. When we got there this time though, there was now an old man (I'd say about 70 years old) hanging out in the hotel room, as well as the others who were there before. Very strange. Felt like I was in some crazy movie.
Then it was back to the tiny house!
Finally I got home around 8 a.m. or so, I think. I don't really remember looking at the clock at all before crashing on my bed for some well needed rest. By that point I had been up for about three days. Blargh.
It's late and most people I know are sleeping. This is the part of the night I loathe. Nothing to do, nowhere to go and no one to talk to. Insomnia release me from your tight grasp.
Sometimes when I'm at my computer I like to sit like this:
