Well, my New Year's was pretty good. Nothing exciting. Jessie and I just hung out at my house, drank a lot, played board games, and watched the Family Guy DVDs.
Around 11:45, we decided to watch ABC, and see the ball drop. I've seen it where they will replay the ball dropping for central time zone. Well, 12 came, I thought "maybe our clocks are...

The very first time I got pulled over for speeding, I was in Tennessee. The cop was a total ass, probably from some combination of me being young and having an eyebrow ring and being from out of state.
The second time I was driving in Mississippi. I was the only person on the road, and he followed me for about 10 miles before making me pull over. "I clocked you at 79... The speed limit is 70!" It took everything in me not to laugh in his face. He was fairly nice about it though, and let me go with a warning.
The third and final time I was here in Florida, in an unfamiliar part of town, hauling ass because I was late for work. I ran right into a speed trap, doing 60 in a 40. The cop was awesome though, and I ended up only having to pay a $35 ticket.
What about you?

my girl has an unnatural tendancy to speed. the first time we got pulled over was in Ohio in the middle of the night. the cop was a total ass. he accused us of stealing the car for about 5 minutes and then gave us an excessive ticket. then we got pulled over in virginia and he was ok. not really nice but not like the cop in Ohio
Well, I just got a phonecall from my old boss at WAND-TV (the local television station), and he said told me that he had an opening in the morning position running camera. I had to quit in the past because of conflicts with school. The position that is open now, doesn't conflict with my schedule at all, and I'm very tempted to apply.

Alice is an awesome game! I wish it would come out for xbox or ps2 though.
It sounds like a cool job. I'd probably take it even if it meant waking up so damn early.

Okay, so I'm bored. Very bored. Jessie went home. All of my roommates have went home. I can't get a hold of the few people I talk to that actually live around here when school isn't in.
I'm considering going to see Return of the King again, by myself. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to go see a movie alone. Can...

you should see him try and hit on girls in class... it makes me really uncomfortable, because i know they are. this one girl, sarah, he hits on her constantly, and asks flat out if they are going to have sex one day... bothers me.
(about your post on mine)
yes i am silly, and i am jealous. he's a fox.
bleep!
i miss you. i miss you. i miss you.
i want you to be online and awake, i'm sure you were too bored and just fell asleep.
neal and i went out for pizza i ate too much went back to his home, he gave me the family guy dvds for christmas, i about died, because i know that they're expensive, i really didn't expect that, but oh well. and we started watching those, i fell asleep on the couch i woke up and mahoney, him, and matt were playing halo. ha.
now i'm here.
i wish you were.
blah!
(i changed your crush thing a while back on here, because i hated what it said about not knowing who you had a crush on... you can change it back to that if you want, or something better about me! haha... also, i'm glad i rank up there with gary coleman.

I hear ya about going to a movie alone. I find the same with eating at a restaurant alone. Not like a cafe, where you can zone out with your discman or a book or something, but a sit-down "cheque please" restaurant. I guess it's because I don't think I could look confident in being by myself, making myself feel even more awkward...? I don't know. Restaurants and movies just feel to me like social-ish venues, I guess. Anyhoo, here's a chicken, as a representation of all of us not-aloners.
bok bok bok!

Well, school is finished for the semester, thank God. It's very, very difficult for me to imagine that I'm 7/8ths of the way through this. I really can't belive a life beyond these nicely segmented periods of life, called semesters. What is after school? I have no idea. It's something I've known and something that has given me structure since I was four. I guess...

Well, the paper is finally finished. Turned in. If there is anyone who is interested in reading it, I am more than willing to share it.
I am also finished with classes for the semester! I have a final in my studio class, my jury, and my accounting final to worry about now. Wish me luck!!!

I have a paper due for a class. This paper is supposed to be a personal development plan. The premise is supposed to articulate who I was, who I am, and who I want to be.
This paper has been impossible for me to write. I've sat down and tried to write it time after time. I've made some headway. I never realized how much...

i know you may not want to use it for a paper for class... i can understand that. but i have found that some of my best pieces for school work reflected some issue.. like for instance, i used my bulimia for a topic of one paper, OCD for another, my dead beat dad for yet another. it's wierd, but you know all those things that you hvae inside.. they really come out in your papers and make them much more passionate. your instructors/professors will see that...
you don't even have to write the whole thing about your situation... you could just use it as a segway into how you percieve stuff now... you could start it out talking about how you used to look at stuff... then this happened, and NOW this is how you see everything... you don't even have to elaborate on it..
whatever you do, good luck.. i miss school so much.. one month.. one month... i will be back in school..

I'm really sorry to use a television reference, but bear in mind I hate TV and commercialized garbage. But I just watched the first episode of the HBO show Six Feet Under. It reminded me of your situation, of the difficulty of trying to express and grapple with such a profound, primal, even animalistic emotion as grief, through such avenues as a school paper. I hope that made sense.
The fact that "normal life" needs to resume itself is something that I think NEEDS to be questioned after the death of someone close to you. Things that were hallmarks of everyday life are now subject to much more thought. Being able to write a paper about your life may have been an easy task for you before, or maybe not. I just hope you have a prof that you can talk to if need be... don't let this weigh on you. All in all it's just one paper. Once it's done, it's done. The same can't be said for grief, I'm afraid.
Any way the paper writing goes, I hope you're okay.

You're doing such an incredible job of putting your circumstances into words. This is pretty weird, since I don't even know you, but I've been thinking about how you're doing a lot. Glad to see you're able to write through this ridiculously difficult time... try to take er easy.
